Half marathon training – week 4, run 1

I ran a true out and back today, heading down Queen’s road for 2.4km before turning around and running back, up the hill, in the opposite direction. Seemed straightforward enough as I didn’t feel like spending too much energy in trying to get creative.

The run itself was fine – I’m noticing a recurring trend of faster times 1) toward the end of the run and 2) while running uphill. The end of the run part isn’t too surprising as I often start slow, but I am happily surprised to see that I’m getting faster on the uphills. It’s not conscious but does suggest that I’m not completely lazy, which is a good thing.
